Recent Works

From 2012 to 2024 I worked on every season of "The Incredible Dr. Pol" leading one of the three camera crews tasked with capturing Dr. Pol and the other vets as they went about helping their clients and treating animals. As a team we were proud of our work on the highest rated show on Nat Geo Wild for many years running.

With Remedy Studios I helped launch the "Secrets of the Zoo: Tampa series as director of photography for season one. Our goal was to showcase the animals that live there as well the compassionate keepers and vets that care their every need.

Working as the director of photography on "The Adventures of Dr. Buckeye Bottoms was a dream job. With tropical landscapes and the ocean serving as a backdrop a beautiful shot could be found in every direction. Watching the sunrise over the Pacific in the morning and the crew cookouts on the beach in the evening were highlights I'll carry with me the rest of my life.

Billed as one of the largest zoos in the world I was honored to be chosen to serve as the director of photography for season one of "Secrets of the Zoo" North Carolina produced by London based Double Act Productions

A spin-off of the wildly succesful, "Incredible Dr. Pol" show was more like working with friends and family than any other show. I worked as a camera operator on season one of the "The Incredible Pol Farm".

I was a camera operator on season 5, Ep 9 of the Treehouse Masters. "Home Tree Home" filmed in Neskowin, Oregon Pete really is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

I've always loved the History channel so when I was asked to work in Seattle as 2nd unit camera for season 2 episode 8 "Pirates in the Caribbean". I jumped at the chance. We filmed driving shots with the talent and dockside interviews and a tour of a yacht that matches a vessel that disappeared and believed to be shipwrecked in the Bermuda Triangle.

I filmed season 28 with an amazing crew in Portland Oregon. Contrary to what most people believe it is captured in true documentary style.  The story threads emerged organically as we followed the housemates for almost three months. It was a clinic in human behavior and psychology. The good, the bad and the ugly.  I appreciated that the producers encouraged the camera operators to use the lens to guide and interpret the story in the cinema vérité style.

Mark is a talented and thoroughly professional cinematographer. He is an asset to any production and a cool, calm and steady presence on set. Mark has secured a permanent spot on my short list of DPs. Looking forward to the opportunity of working with him again.
